To call this burger gourmet is literally a joke. While the patty was thick it was hard and overcooked. They don't give an option on temperature, which you would expect from a "gourmet burger" restaurant. We ordered and in less than two minutes we had our food, which means that the meat was already cooked. Very "gourmet" of them.

I am sure they are going to say that they use quality ingredients and blah, blah, blah. Just ingredients don't make gourmet. I can buy a "gourmet" quality filet mignon and give it to a 6 year old and I am pretty sure it will not come out gourmet. Neither did this. No way you can hand someone a "gourmet" burger in 2 minutes. What a joke!!

The fries were as hard and had NO flavor.

The one thing that they do have is a gourmet price point. $8.45 for a cheeseburger that is precooked and sitting in a warming pan is ridiculous. Tasteless hard fries were $3.20 and then $2.70 for a drink. Save your money and go to any fast food because that is all this is apparently. The ambience is fine. Nothing special. Super disappointed with the whole experience here. Take gourmet off the title. That is very misleading.

  My family loves Baja burger. My out of town family always requests to eat here when in Birmingham and the food is consistently great. A nice casual place to eat with outdoor options on a nice day. Eric is always welcoming and friendly and leads a great team.

  Yummy fresh made burgers with different options like Turkey, lamb,, etc and interesting toppings like peach chutney. Lots of gluten free options and GF bun. Pet friendly outdoor seating available with umbrellas.
